Tr can you or someone help me. I`m not sure if it`s possible or can be chosen as an option, but, as an administrator of my own forum, i wanna know is it possible to get rid of the little popup page that comes up when you post a message. The one that asks you if you wanna read your post or go to the forum. I know it`s possible on Invision boards and some others, where it just displays your post soon as you submit it.

Let me know anyway, it`s not that important, a guy asked me if it would be possible for me to do it, cos it might speed up my forum a lil bit!

I haven't looked into this before but of the top of my head:

* There is a code in every page that sets this, it's a javascript snippet. Removing that from the code will prevent it:
Code: Select all
<script language="Javascript" type="text/javascript">
<!--
   if ( 0 )   {window.open('privmsg.php?mode=newpm', '_phpbbprivmsg', 'HEIGHT=225,resizable=yes,WIDTH=400');}
//-->
</script>

* Each user can set wether or not they would like to get the pop up from within their profile. Unless I've missed it, there is no way of setting wether or not the popup in launched from the admin cp.

^ I'd agree with you to an extent Aspirine.
But in my personal opinion:

Experienced Coder > Choice Of Forum

That's not to say I have any skill mind. :p
