Socialism is the belief or ideal that a fair share of the total wealth is to be evenly distributed throughout the country. Although this belief is a good ideal on paper, the execution is where the faults and disconnects become very much evident. If every person within the community worked equally as hard then there would be no conceivable problem. Although, us as humans are sometimes lazy in many properties of our work. Some days we don't want to work at all. So this presents a problem in the scope of Socialism, does that person become relocated as punishment? Does he become a hindrance to society and, as punishment for the sake of all the hard working citizens, become cut off or removed entirely from the particular society? What is just punishment for laziness? That is where socialism has its rifts.

Capitalism, just like Socialism, appears flawless on paper. Just as Socialism it has many holes, but seemingly less than that of the previous discussed Socialism. Capitalism's main goal is to have wealth make wealth. Capitalism in its rawest form is lending money to a profit oriented project that will earn back the money along with set interest. This can start at the top of the chain with the government, but it works its way down to each of the individual workers. The bank receives money that it earns from the National Treasury, the bank then lends that money to a proper recipient that will use that money wisely such as a small business. The small business then, with the money he receives, must use it to its fullest extent or fail. He must buy all the necessary tools to fund making him more money and paying back the loan. So he pays employees salaries so they can make him money by earning him money to pay them and eventually pay off his debt to the bank. The employees then take their paychecks home, spend it, boosting the economy, and thus paying the money that was originally spent on funding the small business. Money making money.

For the most part Socialism's decline in popularity was its association with countries that did not execute the philosophies correctly. In America, with Russia's advancements in the Cold War, socialism was taken seriously and frowned upon by nearly every American. Brainwashed is an incorrect assumption but imagery used by media projected a poor outlook on Communists and made them appear to be bloodthirsty, war mongers set up to threaten and eventually destroy the world. Looking down a different side of the spectrum, the aggressiveness used in the Cold War by Russia was not Communist at work but the desire for more land, a trait of man not Communism. The decision to invade the United States disturbingly close neighbor, Cuba, was an act of Russia, not the Communism choosing to reside in a country a stone throws away from its bitter rival. Russia's poor economy and poverty stricken people was a geographical problem with no real way to unite the largest single country in the world. A country as vast as Russia, taking up nearly 40% of Asia the largest continent, could not be joined together and have its people come together, the economy crumbled along with its Communist regimé the U.S.S.R.

So now that we know why the Communist name is soiled in the hearts of Americans, we can see how it is slowly, but assuredly, moving progressively towards a Communist Society and moving away from its former Capitalistic ways. In Cleon Skousen's book entitled "The Naked Communist," he speaks of forty-five ways that America sets course for its eventual doom of that which is Communism. Skousen speaks of America choosing coexistence with enemies instead of atomic war, but accepting that it is the only means of not causing an atomic war. In furthering its coexistence with the rest of the world, disarming all of our weapons would be setting the best example for other countries that have the means to own weapons of such destruction. The list goes on to state that Communism should be accepted in all aspects of our society, whether it be with the U.N. admitting Red China or complete dependence upon the U.N. once all Communist states have their admission into the congregation of countries. Now is all of this agenda coming true around us and once the list is fulfilled that America will become a Communist state? Absolutely not, but America is changing and is not bettering itself economically or geographically, a country without borders cannot thrive, and it is not

My views on Socialism is against it entirely. If every man worked equally as hard than all the holes, that are gaping by man's inability to form a perfect society, would be filled and I would be Pro-Socialism. But because of man's lackadaisical approach to hard tasks and its want to avoid difficult situations to get difficult positions and better themselves in life, Socialism is ineffective and proven to only work in man's dream society. Furthermore, there is no way to truly better yourself in a society driven by Socialists ways. Simply because managerial positions could not be filled because the particular manager would have to work harder and oversee more people and receive the same pay as the employees he oversees. His incentive is obsolete if the money increases naught. Money is what drives people to work harder than his neighbor, his co-worker, his sibling, and his inner desire to be lazy and choose not to work. What makes Socialism not work in a small community is small jobs, such as: mowing the lawn for a neighbor, small businesses and street vendors, or door to door, independent salesman are made obsolete. Simple hospitality of neighbors and their payments for it would be over taken by someone that needs a job and would do the job for the same price as a person that works behind a desk wearing a necktie.

So, my being against Socialism doesn't change the fact of its presence and prominence still in the world today. Cuba is, and will be a Communist state, until the leadership that has put them in such a place that they currently reside. Considered a third world country nearly all of its present day existence since Fidel Castro's takeover and eventual destruction of the country. It has its immediate bad connotation as soon as the country's name is uttered.

My views on Capitalism are very simple, I do not agree with everything that Capitalism entails but I see it as the lesser of two evils. In a time where he have a seemingly infinite amount of debt, we need Capitalistic foundational beliefs now more than ever to bring us out of this hole we are digging ourselves into. Money making money needs to be our phrase until we leave the red we are currently in.

In conclusion, both Capitalism and Socialism have many flaws and many optimistic ideals about then. Both have mistakes and problems with the foundation of their belief. The problem I have with Socialism is America's gradual move to Socialism with the drastic moves our current President is making. Mistakes that will affect our children, leaving our economy in a near irreversable debt that the spawn of our spawk will be dealing with. All for control and more of a strangle hold each individual American, until every drop of Capitalism is sucked out of our Constition until each amendment is sucked from the very fabric of nation.
