burning games?

ok so i havent burned anything onto a cd for about 2 years now, and i forget how ....so i was just woundering if i download a game can i burn it on to a blank cd/dvd disk and if i can what kind of disk should i use and do i need to convert the game over to a different kind of file AND will it work on an xbox (NOT AN XBOX 360) thanks so much for anyone that can help

you need a dual layer burner and you prob don't have one so fuck it
