Fight Night Round 4 - Ali Or Tyson?

Postby Xray » May 15th, '09, 09:43

As we all know this is the most anticipated game of the year. Graphics look to be a straight 10/10, and the new physics game play with the punch through blocks shit is just incredible.

^What?

First of all Joe Frasier and George Foreman in their primes are considered some of the best to ever do it, and some of the hardest hitting (Foreman can be argued to be THE hardest hitter of the century... the dude was a beast), but that didn't mean anything because Ali is too fast. So yeah maybe if you can drop a sledge hammer on a cheetah you'll kill it, but you gotta actually hit it first.

And people always seem to write off Ali's strength. I mean did you see him almost murder Frasier? He was catching him with haymakers like it was his chief export. All that on top of the fact that he was probably in the top 3 fastest heavyweights I've ever seen (while Tyson is noticeably a slow mother fucker). Ali would beat Tyson's ass in real life, and would virtually kill him in a video game. Period.

i played Fight Night round 3 and that shit was wack.

the graphics looked dam good in screens but actually the graphics felt like something's missing, i mean the backgrounds the crowd and the ring looked like turd.

tyson was slow?!?!? are you out of your mind, or have you never watched tyson in his prime?

how many one punch, first round KOs did tyson have? how many for ali?

i'm not saying Ali wasn't great, i'm simply saying that there's pretty much no boxer who would stand a teeny tiny chance against tyson when he was at his peak.

Lmfao hahahahahahahahahahahahaha I'm actually starting to think you ACTUALLY think Tyson is the best to ever do it. Which is just laughable (as you can tell by my laughing)

You know what Tyson's best attribute was? Running up on people and swinging like a maniac. So yeah if Ali just stood there and tried to defend himself and didn't move like most of Tyson's "one hit ko's" then sure he'd lose. But that's NOT what would happen.

Ali (in his prime) didn't lose because Ali (in his prime) didn't get hit very often. If you actually watch his fight his footwork is impeccable. His evasion skills are 2nd to NO heavy weight. And his endurance was top notch. You've never seen Foreman fight. It's obvious because he hit harder than Tyson ever dreamed of hitting. And that's the man Ali "rope-a-doped." If you don't know what that is then I'll explain. It's when Ali just stood around and blocked and dodged and maybe jabbed occasionally so that Foreman (who fought a fair amount like Tyson) would tire himself out. And a few rounds later Ali exploded and beat his ass.

Oh and lets not forget the logical physical advantages like height and reach. But no those don't mean anything because it's Iron Mike and he can do anything! Ali could jab Tyson from across the ring. Mike wasn't even 6ft tall (he claims 5'10" but he was officially measure at 5'11 1/2") with a 71 inch reach. Then you have Ali who's 6'3" with a 77" or 78" reach. I mean come the fuck on dude... when would Tyson even get to him? And even if he did, since when can Ali not take a punch?

I respect Tyson's ability to knock people out, but you're just taking his hype and applying it to a fight in the most retarded way possible. I mean I guess if worse came to worse Ali would have to guard his ears, but again that's assuming Tyson could get that close.

You wanna talk speed and movement, than Roy Jones Jr. is what you call speed. Perhaps the fastest feet and hands ever, plus his entertaining to watch. He always brings characteristics into matches, rather than normal boring matches where its just a punch or get punched or dodge bullshit. His a pretty hard hitter to, plus the motherfucker can rap. :o I don't see Ali rapping. :o

Speed and movement: Roy Jones Jr. > Ali

Ali even said Mike would of knocked him out in his prime, didnt you guys watch the interviews they did together? Foreman has the hardest hit recorded in boxing btw.. check your world record books in the library. Tyson has a hard ass hit, and hes fast, so foreman in his prime would have trouble, i cant tell you who would win. But for Ali vs Tyson... Def. Tyson...
