I think street fighter is a deeper game, although i never really played it. I did play alot of MK though. So its Mortal Kombat for me.

as a kid i remember these debates,1994 I think I remember playing street fighter II on the megadrive, I also had Mortal Kombat II, for some reason I mastered SFII, I was always crap at MKII , then came the playstation with street fighter alpha 2 in 1996?,then yep,didn't play a MK for yearrss

Mortal Kombat has cool features which outshine Street Fighter like the Fatality finisher move, that shit is dope. Character wise I'd go for Street Fighter, love the MK characters though. I've seen the MK movie and SF movie, and MK killed the SF movie by far, and its not because SF was animated, the story wasn't all that imo so thats why. Controls wise I'd go for MK, I find SF confusing at times. Overall MK for me. Although Street Fighter is looked at more critically acclaimed than MK, its alot more famous and damn sure in every arcade gaming store, never seen a MK in a arcade game store.

But yo Tekken > Mortal Kombat > Street Fighter.
