This is amazing news. They have won me back. I'm buying it, don't give a shit about Kinect requirements but I do think every system should at least come with one. So you have a choice. This is a great day for gaming.

The DMR wasn't the biggest issue for me, really. I'm pretty much the only one of my friends who is even getting a next-gen console as most of my friends have decided to take the PC route, so the whole letting my friends borrow my game thing wouldn't really affect me. What bothers me is Kinect, it's so intrusive. Reading my heartbeat, looking at me in the dark, listening to my conversations. I know they're only listening for "Xbox, On", but I don't buy that shit. Come on, NSA has been spying on people through Microsoft for years now and you think they won't take advantage of this? I don't buy it, no matter what Microsoft says because they can deny it all they want it could still be happening. I love Halo, but I love my privacy more. That drew the line for me. If you could unplug it and play your Xbox I'd get it in a heartbeat, but until then...I'm pretty content getting a PS4. Superior graphics anyway, right? Haha.

Come on Miller, really...most games are multi-platform these days man. You KNOW Call of Duty is going to be on the PS4 right? Saying that the Xbox is for CoD fanboys and the PS4 is for hardcore gamers was kind of ridiculous...I prefer Xbox and I've been a hardcore gamer all my life. Ever since I picked up an SNES controller at age 4. It comes down to preferences and exclusives, NOT whether or not you're a hardcore gamer lmao. Worrying about who the hardcore gamers are and who aren't will get us nowhere. I respect Microsoft for trying to make not only a video game system but an actual home entertainment system for the next-generation. There's NOTHING wrong with it.

Now it's just going to come down to what you're a fan of. Some are Sony fanboys and some are Microsoft. I'll go with Microsoft. I won't talk down on your decision but I'd like it if OUR decision weren't being talked down for not choosing the PS4...I might still buy one because it seems like a great system but Xbox just seems better in every single way now. Except for the kinect spying on you, lol. To be honest, it's the only thing keeping me from buying the One. If they fixed that, which I doubt, I'd have no problem continuing my Xbox service...but until then PS4 will suffice. Superior graphics anyway.

Yeah I guess that is the one kink. I hope it actually doesn't like spy on you for the wrong reasons though. I have no problem with it checking my heartbeat and all that shit. I don't want it video taping me or recording me lol. Listening for Xbox One commands is good enough. I want the Kinect that comes with it, I've always wanted to own one but never found the games worth it. Now I'm sure many games will feature Kinect-ability as well as controller. I just HOPE the fucking thing doesn't spy on me. I'm going to buy it, I casted my vote in this thread officially after the announcement. I have nothing to hide even if it does spy on me though so whatever.

I have SERIOUS doubts that the NSA won't get their hands into the system to use it for whatever reasons they may want. They've already been spying through Microsoft, this new Kinect is like a wet-dream to them. I'm not a terrorist, but friends and I have discussions in my house about topics that taken out of context could sound pretty bad. I don't want the NSA taking those sound bytes or monitoring me. I'd rather have the piece of mind knowing that what I say in my house STAYS in my house.

I'm just saying, you guys seem to be getting too comfortable with the all-seeing eye in your very house. It can be abused without anyone knowing the better, so the only way to NOT worry about your privacy is to get the PS4. The Government has a tendency of not telling the whole story/fabricating/manipulating evidence and I wouldn't want that to happen to me in any situation. I don't want normal every-day conversations being monitored because something they noticed me say that was taken out of context. Happens a lot more often than you think...
