Which is better (just cause one is newer, doesnt mean its better so...)

Well Jedi Academy was a good game but for reviewers it was slightly disappointing because nothing really improved after the prequel Jedi Outcast. Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast to me and to others was considered a great game specially the fighting so that's why The Force Unleashed looks even better because of the fighting with your light saber.

Cool, so your saying Force Unleashed seems better? Either one is probably good just wondering which is better. I heard its 12 hours of gameplay if you try to get everything too (Force Unleashed).

i don't mind the 10-12 hours. it makes it perfect for renting and therefore costs less. plus if the story is good i'll play it.

i bought it, pretty close to beating it. the graphics are amazing on some levels. only disappointment about it is theres only like 10 hours of gameplay. but id still recommend it to someone even if they weren't a star wars fan

well iv played a couple levels of it and i would have to say i really like the game. The story is good so far, i just feel like its rushed, (for example it will be a cutscene than the next thing you know your already on the next planet right into action for your next mission, for me it takes away from the story) but the gameplay is really fun imo and surprisingly i'v actually died a few times. The button pressing at the right time thing (mainly from boss battles) i was completly agaisnt at first, but in the game you actaully enjoy doing it becasue you get to watch your character do some sick ass things, they do get old eventually. (there is only like 2 or 3 different ways to kill a certain mini-boss (i.e. rancors or AT-ST) also i dont even have an HD-TV and my pilot is still a hotttttt haha, im hoping for some hot coffee DLC.

ill update this when i beat the game if anybody is wonder whether to drop the $64 to buy it or the $5 to rent it, as of right now, if your a fan of star wars, i would buy it. If you have seen all the movies but arnt really a fan, rent it, and if youve never even heard of star wars, i still suggest you play this game, its really fun.

thanks guys :y: . i don't plan on buying it though, just renting it. with only 10 hours of gameplay i don't see myself playing it much longer then rental time anyway.

My first post in months!

Anyway, I agree. The game is rushed, but the comic and book take the time to explain things. The game is VERY fun! But it's more of a B-Side to the book. You'll get very little meat from the game, sadly. Even the comic does a better job at telling the story.

I haven't played religiously like I usually do with my games since my Dad has been hogging up the TV, but I'd say I've played a good 8 hours or so and I'm already on the second to last mission. It's short, yes, but it's a good experience. It combines elements of Devil May Cry, X-Men Legends, and Shinobi. Of course there are other elements in there too, but that's just what I could pull off the top of my head.

Replay value is really up to the person playing. If you have fun tossing things around at Stormtroopers (including other Stormtroopers) then go for it. So far, it hasn't gotten old for me.

Loved the comic, loved the book, love the game.

FYI: Anyone want to download the comic: http://www.mediafire.com/?kdo1yzzmnxw

The book is called "The Force Unleashed" lol. Just google Force Unleashed Novel. It's a hardcover book that came out about a month before the game. I thought the book would stop off somewhere before the ending of the game, sort of like a really long teaser, but I was wrong. The book is the entire story, and tells much more than the game actually does.

And yeah, there's an entire library of Star Wars books, but they're not considered canon. I never got into the books because I was scared of literally getting lost in that universe, lol. TFU is considered canon though. George Lucas himself was part of the project.
