haha thats one thing i really wish the new consoles were capable of.. the whole backwards compatibility thing would be nice.. although i understand why they cant. although i rarely play old games anyway..

Forza Motorsport 5 Included In Xbox One Day One Edition

UK games retailers have begun to include a free copy of Forza Motorsport 5 for those who pre-order a Xbox One Day One Edition from them. This is in lieu of FIFA 14, which Microsoft announced would be free at Gamescom 2013.

Microsoft made the announcement at this years Gamescom that those who pre-ordered an Xbox One Day One Edition in Europe would receive a free download voucher for EA’s FIFA 14 when the system is launched. Amazon UK, ShopTo, and GAME have all begun their own pre-order deal however. If you pre-order the system from one of them you will receive a choice between FIFA 14 and Forza Motorsport 5.

Those who have heard the rapidly spreading news of the Xbox One Day One Edition being sold out, fret not. Microsoft Corporate Vice President Yusuf Mehdi has stated that the company has found a way to create more units of the console. He said:

Because of the great progress that we’ve made by moving to full production and because of the demand we’ve seen, we’ve found a way to create a few more Day One SKUs.
The Xbox One Day One Edition is only available for pre-order and will contain a commemorative controller and exclusive Achievement.

The Xbox One will be released on November 22nd in 13 territories. Forza Motorsport 5 will be released alongside the Xbox One.

Xbox One
A bit pricy when competing against a console of equal specs at $100 less. Clouding, kinect camera, constant internet feeding, etc. could be revolutionary to gaming or a total flop. Also, Microsoft lacks good IP's (and outside of war games, they really dont have many exclusives). IMO, Xbox One will take time to show off it's capabilities, so right now I wouldn't get it, but in the end

Wii U
Expensive for dated hardware. Awful launch. Lack of third parties. May be worth getting at some point if Nintendo has enough quality exclusives.

PC
PC's have the best peformance, but the least consistent performance as well. Visually, the PC is miles ahead of the consoles, but PC's are expensive.

PS4
Strong hardware, especially for the price. Sony is an overall reliable company.

A classmate of mine keeps trying to convince me to go back to Xbox but I'm just not ready, I'm so pumped to sink my teeth into the PS4 on launch day! Maybe down the line though...

I really really wanna buy the Xbox One, I want to have faith in Microsoft, but they make it very tough. If they would update the system and make it so it can play 360 games as well then they would have me sold on it I think.

Is anybody FOR SURE getting their new console on day 1 or FOR SURE not getting it on day 1? I know it's kinda early for some people to know for sure but I'm just kinda curious.

Also, who is making the switch FOR SURE from Xbox to Playstation? We gotta get a list going of people who made the platform switch since obviously they wont be able to carry their profile over.

I'm really not sure. It's really a toss up in the air for me. I could get it day one, or I could get it a month from then. I'm still trying to decide which one I REALLY want. I really want the Xbox One but as I said Microsoft makes it tough and the PS4 honestly seems just more up my alley this generation. Of course I'm going to own both eventually.

I am most likely making the switch from Xbox to Playstation. Still not 100% sold on either one yet though.

I cant believe Vita is outselling Wii U.

Hey, it's honestly Nintendo's fault for not dropping anything worth while and waiting like, I think a full year before they start releasing anything decent like Donkey Kong or Sonic. Sure, they had Mario, but Mario is Mario and will forever be Mario. Blah blah blah, drop an actual 3D Mario platformer like Galaxy (and DK, DK 64 was godly ) and then I'll go back to Mario.

I'm going to get the Wii U sometime again. It's gonna have some really great games soon. But for now 3DS is so superior and it makes me happy seeing that its sales are so damn high and still growing strong. I think a big part of it is Pokemon X and Y (which I am getting) coming out next month. Huge franchise and like everyone has played Pokemon at at least some point in their gaming careers.
