PS3's a Record Breaker
165,000 consoles sold in just three days.

UK, March 27, 2007 - As expected, PlayStation 3 has become the fastest selling home console in British history, with 165,000 consoles flying off the shelves since it was launched last Friday.

Thanks to plenty of early stock - compared to the Wii and Xbox 360 - most people could walk into a store over the weekend and buy a console without any hassle. In fact, many retailers still have units available and the 165,000 consoles sold only account for a third of the overall UK stock.

PS3 comfortably beat the Wii and Xbox 360 launches, which managed to sell 105,000 and 70,000 respectively. However, while PS3 may be the best-selling home console, it still failed to eclipse Sony's PSP, which racked up a staggering 185,000 sales during launch weekend.

no doubt pc is always gonna be where gaming is gonna be at its best.But console wise playstation laid the modern foundations,that peeps like wii,xbox are all tryna live up too.No doubt the new xbox360 is nice but imma laugh in all you microsoft groupies when im downloading exclusive content for my gta and point and laugh when im downloadin new game demos at the click of my wireless classic joypad.

in America we busted caps in bitches to get a hand on the ps3's in UK they wait in line jsut like good little boys. they aint fans :tounge2:

they also gave a free 46 inch LCD screen to the first 100 costomers :tounge2:

anyways, xbox is sjut getting started, they have yet to relases their 120GB 360 and get the market place running to its full potential. not saing the ps3 is in its prime yet but the 360 is goiing to win the console war

*also theirs a rumor taht the new Final Fantasy is going to be aking its way to other consoles too... all of ps3 exclusive games are leaving and going to the xbox

anyway people was sayin the same old thing when microsoft put out xbox versus ps2....'omg xbox kicks your ass,and its get all of playstations exclusive titles,and it has less flaws etc etc etc'...but who ended up winning that war? playstation sold more units,case closed.

the fact xbox is attempting to use playstations exclusives is futher proof they just biting on what playstation has been doin since ps1.Not to mention there attmepts to simulate playstation classics *cough cough 'saints row'*

xbox360 is like playstations jealous cousin.The exclusive downloads is gonna be where its at when the big wigs take this feature futher.

imagine it,a game could be endless...download fan made cars,skins,missions for gta.

Oh and whos gonna give game developers more space to make games storage with??? :shifty:

1st off... not tea break! we drink gangsta-ade, a spin off of gatorade :smoking:

2nd- the xbox is > than ps3 in price, performance(atm), visual quality, game selection and online support, it has a 1 year jump on the ps3 and they will never catch up simular to why ps2 beat out xbox, they had a year jump on them

3rd its the game's decision to go to another platform and dont blame them. If you were exclusive game for ps3, with teh price and that decent performance its going at right now id want to move too, move where? to the 360, the games are easier to program and jsut as flashy as teh ps3 games.

4th- exclusive downloads?! whoa sounds like the xbox live marketplace and with 120 more gigs on the way they should be set to compete with he blue-gay technology
