mass effect won me over

i had a loan of my freind x-box 360 for awhile but he has sucky games so i thought fuck it and took in a couple of old games i dont play and traded them in and got mass effect and lost oddysesy.


and dam what a game mass effect is, lost odysessy is great to but mass effect is what i wanne talk about.


the combat is the perfect blend of FPS/Adventure/RPG i really cant explain how much i love it, you can do any mission in just about any way you want, the character creation at the start is awesome, i love how not only do you chose the complete apearence but his back story witch then plays a big role in the main story, so from the get go your goin down a multi path game , witch has been a problem before and is why i always liked RPG "on rails" so to speak, because games with loads of multi options always tried to start out "on rails" then branch out witch i didnt like coz you felt cheated and like you were missing out but with mass effect the combat and overall game engine is so dam fun whenever i felt i missed out i just sayed "ill choose that option on my next play through" the time i spent playing it knew id play it again once i finished it so i decided to answer the questions honestly with my personalilty, but i couldnt wait to complete it to go through being a complete asshole, then again being a saint.

unfortuently my prick of a freind took his 360 back before i could finish the game, i got a good amount of playing ours in and got pretty far in the game, but didnt finish it so people please refrain from spoilers.

the game has prompted me to give these more open multi option games another try (so im giving obvlivion another play lol) it also got me extremely hyped for fallout 3, and its also got me goin to buy a xbox tomorrow, i seen i can get one for £150 pre-owned with 2 years guarantee, so even if the pre-owned one fucks up i get a brand new one as long as i got my guarantee witch ill keep re-newing

if people could recomend 360 games id addpreicate it, i only followed wii and PS3 releases so i know little of 360's hidden gems.

also old x-box games work on the 360 right ? coz my fable for PC fucked up before i could finish it and i never got round to getting another copy lol so i might pick it up to play it

i'd recommend Lost Oddysey but you already got it. i still haven't finished the game it's so damn long. i love it though. Oblivion is flippin amazing. was the first game i got for my 360. i haven't played Mass Effect but i been wanting to, just haven't gotten around to it. for original Xbox you need to play Knights Of The Old Republic if you haven't already. i got a link for the PC version in the games thread of the download section. if you like/liked that then play the second if you haven't. not quite as good cuz it's slow as hell in the beginning, but it's still good. Fable II is commin out in October. should be amazing. better be cuz i was disappointed with the first even though it was pretty good. Nartuo Rise of A Ninja was actually pretty good for being straight off the cartoon. but if you don't like the show then you may not like it. it won't have that novelty that fans have.

if you're lookin for non-RPG then Halo 3 was pretty nice. but if you don't have Xbox live you'll prolly trade it in when you finish the campaign. that's what i did cuz i didn't have live at the time. Saint's Row is also a good one. if you like realistic racing games then Forza 2 is the way to go.

yes most xbox games work for the 360

and yes mass effect is fucking amazing...sad that my xbox died, but when I get a new one, I'm so playing that bitch again.

and you might check out blue dragon...idk if it turned out any good since I never played it, but the creator of final fantasy helped make it, so you might read some shit about it

ive actually played a bit of blue dragon (had about 5 hours playing time) and i dunno the whole "shadow dragon" was a little weird, and i love weird rpg's but i just didnt get hooked into it for some reason, the animation style was a weird choice aswell very little expression on the faces (especially the eyes) and with rpg's you want the voice acting to be great along with the animation so you feel as if the character means what he says, i also found it very easy at the start, i did 30 minutes grindind then wehn 5 hours without even enarly getting beating lol but i will probly pick up a copy of it to complete it

and lol i never liked wrex, my party was always williams and one of the other girls. forget there names but one of them was the long living race with blue skin, she could also be a love intrest, and the other was the race that lives in a big ship coz the rackni destroyed there homeland and she always wears a big as suit and is on her piglramige lol

if you remember a while back you made a thread abotu lost oddysessy, thats what made em wanne egt it along with mass effect lol, i onyl got to the part were i had been captured at grand staff and then i had been set free buy the queen, had explored town pickign up 3 dreams in the progress and was looking for the little kids toys and stuff lol, how many hours you got on it ?


and thanx man imma go in today and get a console plus a ocuple of games with my grans card then pya her back when i get my college grant in, got to pay intrest though witch sucks lol

Mass Effect is great. The end is like a Star Wars film. I'm on my 3rd playthrough on Insanity and I'm doing another playthrough with a Soldier.

Why didn't you just send it in? They fix like red rings and stuff for like the first 3 years you have it. That's what i'm doing with mine it just broke yesterday.
