Fighting games

Postby Hadez » Jul 20th, '09, 06:07

is it just me or does multiplayer in fighting games absolutely suck? i was playin UFC and thought maybe some skill would be required of both players. but my brother was just mashin buttons and managed to beat my ass cuz i'm tryna pull of techniques like the game was intended for.

anybody else frustrated with this?

I got so fustrated by fighting games that I stopped playing years ago. Most fighting games do not need skill in multiplayer although there are a few exceptions which I can't name.

Tekken is cool but you can SPAM the dang buttons.

Street fighter requires a player to memorize the combos before being able to use the special powers.

Virtua Fighter is bullshit, you can't win shit of you don't know the game.

Bleach on PSP is quite cool but it's so predictable because the characters are more or less the same when it comes to combos.

The newest one called Blazblue on PS3 is the one that requires the most skills. I mean, there are twelve UNIQUE characters in the game. It's the only fighting game that disallows spamming.

i'll hafta try it out. my issue with UFC is one kick to the stomach and you're done cuz now you're open to a hundred jabs to the face. rinse and repeat and you got yourself a winner.
