Ludacris, Method Man and Redman are slated to appear in Electronic Arts' Def Jam Fight for NY: Takeover for PSP.

The video game is the prequel to the highly popular Def Jam Vendetta. Busta Rhymes, Carmen Electra, Lil' Kim, Snoop Dogg and Xzibit are also among the game's characters. In the game, users will uncover the episodes that preceded Vendetta and see how D-Mob took over the big apple.

The game also features new fighting maneuvers and locations. PSP users will be able to fight in one-on-one death matches using the system's wireless functionality.

In Fight for NY, the pugilists sport urban brands like Def Jam University, Phat Farm, Brand Jordan, Ecko Unlimited, Enyce, Rocawear, Sean John, State Property and Reebok.

The PSP edition includes over three dozen tracks released by Def Jam artists in 2003 and 2004. EA says the songs will be available for download.

To date, Def Jam Vendetta has sold over 900,000 copies and is listed among PlayStation's top 10 games in 2003 according to retail information group NPD. The second installment, Fight for NY, has sold more than 1 million units since hitting stores in September 2004.

Def Jam Fight for NY: Takeover is due out in March.
