Character Names

what do you name your characters? when you get an opportunity to be identified as whoever you want in a game, what do you normally pick? do you try to make a name that could be believable, some shit with symbols and dashes and underscores, somethin that is only for comedic value, all caps, all lower case, etc... ?

i use to use Hadez. then i switched to Valiz for most names.

my first name is Zac. so i used a Z in Hades. Vali is a Nord god (correct me if i'm wrong) and i'm Norwegian so i added a Z because my first name.
i made up Azlyr when i created an elf character on Oblivion and kinda liked it.

I usually use acronyms mashed together. Either of my own name, Sherlock Holmes or some egyptian god, mix it up, and then I have a character name.

Examples: Anulock (Anubis and Sherlock), Mohs Alomen (Holmes and Amon)...

And sometimes I just use ''Zu''.

Usually Tornado because wih games where you can create your own character, it's less story driven in a sense that with a game like Uncharted 2, there's real charcter interaction whcih gets you immersed in the story. Perhaps if they got real actors to voice over and added audio options for your character, imight care, but yeh Tornado is good as i'm easeily identifiable

Well my Mass Effect character is called Gaylord while in Fallout 3 he's called Hotty and in Oblivion Friar Ass. I just find it funny to make a really odd looking character and give stupid names which could be relevant to their looks, not in the case of Hotty. I just have a laugh when I do it, nobody else understands me. lol

i think it'd be cool if game makers could make it so the game says your name. where not only do you pick the spelling, but the sounds for it as well. then after picking the letter sounds you have the option to hear the name as it would be said in the game so you can make sure it's right.

I did use funny names once on FF7...I just loved seeing them refer to Aeris as Bitch haha

I dont really play video games. But i did make an account on some game but it was stupid so i stopped and his name was Nuck Chorris

If earned the opportunity, I try make my character as real as possible to suit the game. So if its a wrestling game, I'll probably try to make a unique wrestler or if its a game like Def Jam FFNY I use a more gangsta name to make the game more comfortable and smooth.
