-By the time I get to the end of this sentence I won't remem...hmmmm...what was I talking about?

*WARNING MAY EVENTUALLY CONTAIN SPOILERS IN DISCUSSION * - I will post preliminary spoiler warnings for movies that I feel will have a good chance of being spoiled once people discuss about the movie.

Summary- Leonard, a man who has no short term memory, is seeking to avenge the rape and murder of his wife (the same incident in which he lost his memory ability). Accompanied by a friendly cop named Teddy, Leonard attempts to seek down a man named John G.. However, he also has to be cautious of his special condition and the people who may take advantage of him.

Review- This movie is amazing. Two things really stand out when watching this movie- the story is original and creative and the way the story is told is amazing. First of all, imagine if you didn’t have a short-term memory. That means you can’t remember or learn anything. Now imagine trying to catch a murderer in that condition and you can see why the story is engrossing. Just as important as the story, Christoper Nolan (the director) really shines in the storytelling of the movie. Now famous for his more recent movie The Dark Knight, Memento is probably the film that first displayed his directing talent. The movie is not told in a linear pattern, but rather with scenes progressing in a “random” order. This allows the viewer to be confused and feel what Leonard feels as he progresses through the movie. When the climactic ending arrives, the audience will be just as shocked as Leonard, and this is all done through the masterful storytelling. If you are a big fan of thrillers, I highly recommend this movie.

Recommendations-
Note: This is a new section I’m putting in my movie reviews (I will go back and edit my other entries as well). Basically it’s movies that if you enjoyed, you’ll probably also enjoy the one being reviewed. Unlike normal recommendation lists, the movies I recommend doesn’t necessarily have to share a similar story or movie technique. They are simply my personal opinions, ones that I feel will give a good indication if you will also the movie being reviewed. Also, if you enjoyed the movie being reviewed, you may also want to consider checking out the other recommendations. If any of you guys think I should put up a recommendation feel free to reply with the movie and I will add it if I think it fits. Also, if you think any of my recommendations don’t work well explain why I should remove it, and if it’s a good enough reason I will.
