-The answer is E. None of the Above...final answer.

Summary- A poor boy from the slums of India decides to go on the game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire. When he begins winning much more money than expected, the police start to question how he knows the answers and what the motives are behind his actions.

Review- Looks like it finally happened. Oscar winning American films have been outsourced to Britain who use Indian slaves as actors. In all seriousness, there is a reason this movie did so well at the Oscars (snagging Best Pictures) and it’s because it’s a really good movie. First of all, I really like game shows so a whole movie that is centered around Who Wants to be a Millionaire is already a plus in my book. In addition to that, the story (based on a novel) is fascinating and captivating. It will have you at the edge of your seat. The way the movie is willing show the slums of India is gruesome, but brutally honest. As Americans (or any middle class person), we sometimes forget how badly some 2nd/3rd world countries have it, and this movie is able to smash the reality right into our faces. But it’s not a completely depressing movie, there is an overall love story that is simply amazing and heart-warming. The acting is also really good and so is the distinct Indian music. My only criticism is the usage of M.I.A. songs, it ruins the foreign atmosphere of the movie, but even that’s not too big of an issue. I definitely recommend this movie- there is a little bit of everything for everyone whether a great love story arch, an interesting narrative, or some really exciting action sequences. However, if you feel bad watching suffering and poverty (think of child slaves, etc.) and are sensitive to such issues, I advise skipping this film since it does not hold back showing these poor situations.

Recommendations- Recommended movies may not share similar story elements or movie techniques with the reviewed movies. They are simply personal opinions that I think will give a good indication on if you will enjoy the reviewed movie. If you want to add or want me to remove a recommendation, please reply below with the movie name and reason.

The Kite Runner

I really can’t think of any other movie that’s similar to this one. If someone else has suggestions, feel free to reply.

I didn't know anything about this movie if I started to watch it. Was just thinking: "Probably another average movie by India movie makers." Turned out that i was wrong. :P After I finished watching it I was kinda amazed how good it was. Loved it and I'm happy that this movie won so many Oscars. Great movie and I'll recommend it to everybody who loves movies. :)
