Love this movie. The plot is great and damn, it fucked up my mind too. Frank is a masterpiece btw.

Holy shit, it's one of the best movies I've ever seen. Kinda confusing, especially that time travelling part, but it's stimulating your mind.

honestly the most confusing part i thought was figuring out if the fam lived.. because since he prrty much time traveled to save their lives..(and the chicks) did that mean they were no longer ganna be on that plane?? (the one that killed him) and if not.. then how would the random engine be explained?

idk if this will make sense but i'll give it a go....but from what i remember (and from the book)..the engine was a sign the universe began...as for the fam..i'm stumped lol..but i'm thinking no? cus donnie died to save the universe so..basically everything that happened in that movie i think was a dream..the donnie we saw wasn't the real donnie..everything that happened was a future vision cus he was the living reciever of the universe..the real donnie was sleeping in bed and we was seeing what he was dreaming...

idk..i could go into a whole explanation to the whole story and that may explain it..but..it could get confusing..

don't have time for crap like this. the reason you're all confused by it is because there's no answer & it's deliberately unclear. it's a writing cop-out, in my opinion. i don't see the genius of this @ all. i see it as a deliberately convoluted film with unexplained crap. it's just like a David Lynch film. "the point is, there is no point!!!" no point watching the film then.
