i've never seen him before. perhaps it's an acquired taste. like, if i knew of his personality it would become funnier. i'm willing to give him a chance. all i've ever heard about was "I'm Rick James, bitch!"

Ah, I see. Ok, well if I may make a suggestion? I would watch one of his stand-up specials that he did with HBO. Killing Them Softly was a good one, but For What It's Worth was pretty good too. If you ever see one of those on HBO, or maybe at a rental place, check it out.

The Rick James shit is such a small part of his career (one skit), but it's been referenced more than any other line he's done...
