I hate to have to tell you this, but the first time Goku goes SS2 is to demonstrate it to Babidi. And then he turns Super Saiyan 3 after that, so you've obviously mispoken.
Gohan is the first (half)Saiyan to go Super Saiyan 2. He does that in his fight with perfect Ceru.
You probably meant when Goku turned Super Saiyan to defeat Furiza in season 3.
