I used to be a big Bale fan but as I've seen more and more of him a lot of his performances seem similar. He was great in American Psycho and I had forgotten about the Machinist. I still think he's without a doubt one of the best Batman and the best Bruce Wayne. Every now and then his "Batman voice" can bother me though. I don't have a problem with his personality either. I don't care if he has an attitude and yells at people on the set.
Oh and the "you can't compare them" argument is a good one. I take it back. I do love both Heath's and Jack's performances as the Joker

that is true that he does do similar roles. and not so much that the roles themselves are similar, he just plays them the same. his "Batman" voice was kind of unnecessary. every other Batman had no problem talking regular as Batman. but i think him and Michael Keaton make the best Batmans. George Klooney should've never been one. that one guy from Forever sucked ass too.

and since i never answered the original question, The Dark Knight
but i like both movies for different reasons. i like that Begins took you into the psyche of Batman, and the Dark Knight took you into the psyche of the Joker. unfortunately for Begins, Joker was a more interesting character out of the two movies and, therefore, The Dark Knight wins.
