I don't really like the whole blood and guts thing, which is why I liked that movie so much. It was about a war but didn't really show the graphic parts of it as much as other movies.

What about Letters From Iwo Kima? I thought that was an amazing film specially cause it was all in Japanese so it felt more real. Haven't seen the American side (Flags Of Our Fathers) but why should I if the Japanse side was great and must of been if it got awarded more than the other. Both were Clint Eastwood I think. Seriously, check this one out.

that movie sucked really...it didn't match up to Saving Private Ryan or Platoon or hell even Full Metal Jacket for that matter...
I think it's because it was in japenese...made it less interesting

So it's more interesting if it's American? I think it's the other way round cause to me when it's American it seems just more typical. The Japanese language put into it makes it much more real. It's certainly been praised more than Flags of our Fathers which is the other side.

Just like the film Downfall about Adolf Hitler, the German made the film even greater to me specially how Hitler screamed...Anyways just my opinion :)

We Were Soldiers

I recommend these movies to anyone, believe me there excellent.
