Michael Jackson as Edward Scissorhands

I've heard rumors that MJ lobbied to be him but Burtan didnt want him to play Edward. First off....thats fucked up....MJ would have been perfect for the role, even though Johnny Depp did a perfectly good job. Anybody else hear this. I also heard that the story is loosely based on how MJ's career blossomed and then the public turned on him. I'm currently watching it on Blu-Ray...looks fantastic in HD

u kno when i really think about it the role really would reflect on jacksons life n how everyone viewed him as a freak after the molestation charges. but really itd jus depend on how good of an actor micael was. i kno he did some wizard of oz thing but not any dramatic roles. i mean come on now itd be pretty damn hard 2 pull off something equivalent to johnny depp's performance

Yeah, he was the scarecrow in the Westside Story....and from what I heard he was a good actor. And if you've seen Edward Scissorhands, it really doesnt stretch the acting limits to walk around creepily with your hands up in a limp way. Actually didnt Michael do that anyway...
