Underrated movies.

Postby Guess_Who » Dec 18th, '13, 11:47

We have a thread about overrated so let's do one about underrated. I start :

-Before sunrise , to me is a masterpiece and not many people know about it. Also great European scenery:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112471/

-Joyeux Noel. This french movie is based on a true story, that happened in 1914. during the First World War. There was a Christmas truce, the war continued the next day. I think it's a great movie, sad too.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0424205/

-Sphere, it is a great movie about a spaceship, that not many people know.

Can't think more by now...post yours.

Sphere with Dustin Hoffman? It's a pretty decent movie, saw it in the theater when it came out, don't know why all the hate it's really not a bad movie. Just like the movie "Virus" with Jamie Lee Curtis & Donald Sutherland, it's not that bad how people make it to be.

Of the top of my head i'll say 21 Grams with Sean Penn
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0315733/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
it didn't get the attention it deserved is such a great movie.

And also Buried with Ryan Reynolds
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1462758/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
great movie with only 3.000.000 budget

I think all the Chucky Movies are kinda underrated, cause they do what they are supposed to do perfectly.
I don't know if this is accurate, but I don't think movies based on Stephen King books are getting any recognition, I love the vibe and atmosphere of The mist and 1408.
Also: Kim&Ye sex tape

Love this movie. It's a Spanish movie by the way. I have to say my bf was unnable to watch it. It's very claustrophobic.

This thread is great too for future movies to see.....

I'd highly recommend King Of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters. It seems to be kind of hit and miss with people though.

Thank You For Smoking is also great, which never seems to be mentioned in people's favourites.

The rest of my favourites are all probably certified fresh on Rotten though lol.

But I have to say I never watched it. Maybe I will.
