I am so ready for this finale. Apparently the producers said they're not sure if they are going to be able to top this episode in future seasons. When submitting the Emmy nominations for best written episode, Game of Thrones only submitted this episode. It supposedly makes the Red Wedding look pale in comparison.

It's 66 minutes long, about 14 minutes longer than usual.

And trust me, it will be your favorite episode. You will be screaming all 66 minutes.

A few local theatres are showing it and me and some friends are heading out to enjoy it there. Hopefully no one trolls and yells out a spoiler or anything.

I haven't seen it, yet. But I guess you're saying this because there were so many events in different parts of Westeros that the episode wasn't consistent and all over the place?

I kinda suspected that would happen, there were so many filler moments in this season that could've been used.

No they just didn't include a ton of important stuff in favor of a bunch of pointless scenes that never even happened. The big, important scenes were downplayed and anticlimactic and the climax of the episode was just made up.

It's really hard to follow the book perfectly. I think they have been doing a great job, with a few exceptions but it's still not awful or tarnished.

Game of Thrones still GOAT.

It's not that they're deviating from the book it's just that the changes they make don't make sense. The Timelines are really getting fucked up. They made a couple small changes in Season 2 that led to even bigger changes in season 3 and even bigger changes this season. It's the butterfly effect. At this point all the time lines are completely fucked up. Bran doesn't meet the Children of the Forest until the middle of Book 5 which means that if Book 6 doesn't come out within the next year then the show is probably going to pass the book with a couple character arcs. I guess that's my biggest problem because I'd rather read something first than watch it happen.

I understand why they didn't have Coldhands cause it would have been a shit ton of money to CGI him every episode but they still could have came up with tons of shit for him to do in the forest.

And i heard that Geore R.R. Martin told D&D exactly how the books will end so they can finish the show if he dies so they'll only probably butcher the books like they have already.

The show will pass the books regardless. Bran's character is parallel to his book story now. Even if, the slight chance the sixth book comes out before the season starts, no way will will George RR Martin have the seventh book done in time for the season after. It will create a conflict.

Drogon escaped. They explained it when Grey Worm was talking to Khaleesi. The dragon had been seen flying around three days earlier, and no word since. I haven't read the books so this is coming from theory-only info, but I think it's pretty obvious what will happen. You take Bran learning how to fly. He can already take over Hodor, a wolf and an owl. A dragon is on the loose. I think it's really obvious after this episode, but depending how the books are set up it's probably less obvious because they happen at different times (Drogon getting loose and Bran learning how to fly).

I think this was the best episode yet.

It was easily the most action packed episode. There was little boring stuff, just the Dany stuff.

- Stannis arrives and takes over the North
- Bran finds the three-eyed raven finally, we find out why he went all this way
- The Hound is dead...or at least appears to be dead
- Arya is heading to Essos and her story took a huge turn
- Melissandre giving Jon Snow a good look, which is clear foreshadowing
- Tyrion escapes death and King's Landing
- Tywin is dead, Shae is dead

So much action and plot twists.
