The Simpsons v. Family Guy Elimination Discussion Thread

The Simpsons
Family Guy

Personally I think they're both at the end of their rope now
but I'd say Simpsons. Way too guest-reliant now a days. Too much pop culture interjected and the originality and wittiness is gone. Family Guy still makes me laugh. The Simpsons hasn't made me laugh in years.

discuss.

I personally never found Family Guy to be that funny. Don't get m wrong, it's a nice show and I like to watch it, but The Simpsons had a bigger impact on my life.

You can basically go back and watch the old episodes of The Simpsons over and over again and still find the jokes funny and ironically relevant even today.

Iv always liked Family guy, the show actually made me laugh more the longer the show went. I dont see what was so great about the first season, It feels like the same brand of humor but funnier than they did it before.

Though as of recently Iv lost a lot of interesting in Family Guy I didnt find these past couple seasons to be all that great. Its not a show that I really keep up with anymore.

Ive never really watched the simpsons so I dont really have anything to say about that

South Park > both of them though.

Family Guy is...I dunno. Seth is a talented guy, extremely imo and the show makes me laugh because it breaks a lot of cartoon barriers and it goes and says things that no show really has before. I like a show that makes a Joan Rivers joke the same day she dies. That being said, there was a phase when it was just brainless and South Park pounced at the perfect opportunity to rip it to shreds.

So my answer is, I don't know. Modern Simpsons is HORRIBLE and modern Family Guy isn't the best either but I'd watch a modern FG over modern Simpsons.

agreed with all of this post tbh, we have similar taste haha

My man

By far the most consistently funny cartoon out there, even if they have some episodes that are so stupid sometimes haha

This show is actually hilarious. It's to Family Guy what Futurama was to Simpsons.

Futarama was so dope...

The Simpsons is doing a Futarama crossover in November

Futurama is great also...but overall i think American Dad is far superior to Family Guy, it's way underrated though...most people know Seth has the "creator of Family Guy" and forget all about A.D

One of my old friends parents wouldn't let him or his brother watch The Simpsons or Ed, Edd, and Eddy when they were younger.
