The True Story of a Real Fake
New Rochelle, the 1960s. High schooler Frank Abagnale Jr. idolizes his father, who's in trouble with the IRS. When his parents separate, Frank runs away to Manhattan with $25 in his checking account, vowing to regain dad's losses and get his parents back together. Just a few years later, the FBI tracks him down in France; he's extradited, tried, and jailed for passing more than $4,000,000 in bad checks. Along the way, he's posed as a Pan Am pilot, a pediatrician, and an attorney. And, from nearly the beginning of this life of crime, he's been pursued by a dour FBI agent, Carl Hanratty. What starts as cat and mouse becomes something akin to father and son.

Review: To meet it's pure classic when the FBI knocks on your door to arrest you, and you walk right out the front door, pulling the biggest hoax you could to foul the man there to arrest you; and Frank did just that when FBI Agent Carl Hanratty got word of where the theif was staying at, he posed as IRS and walked right out with almost all the evidence in hand. Later, he was caught, and actually went on to work with the FBI and now because of him, it's almost impossible to create your own checks and money; it was his idea to add color and water seals, and new designs to all the U.S. currency which has happend over the past few years. He even suggested changing the look and information of the coins circulated and accepted by businesses. I guess if you can't beat em' join em'!!!
