Binding Ties:
Ten years ago, Las Vegas was terrorized by "CAST"—a vicious serial killer responsible for nearly half a dozen brutal murders, and who tested the mettle of the LVPD's new Captain, Jim Brass. After a two-year spree, CAST suddenly disappeared and has not been heard from . . . until now. Gil Grissom and his CSI team are called in to investigate a homicide that perfectly fits the notorious criminal's modus operandi. But all hell breaks loose when a reporter made famous by the original cases receives a letter from someone claiming to be CAST—and who says he has nothing to do with the latest slaying.

Now the CSIs must stop someone who may be a copycat killer from striking again. . . . even as a murderer from the past continues to evade capture, and isn't taking too kindly to rivals. . . .

Review:
I created a post solomnly for this novel because it is my ultime favorite in Collin's CSI Series that is based off the Hit TV Show in its' Ninth Season. As you can probably have guessed, I have a thing about reading about 'Serial Killers'. I know it's considered creepy to some, but it's something that's always caught my attention and brought up the question, "How can someone torture, mutilate, rape, and/or murder another human being? When will they cease to keep coming up with new ideas to harm one-another?" Back to the book, it is written with great skill and knowledge of the law enforcement field, and it doen't disappoint for any Collins' fans. The evidence unfolds before you in a timely manner, and Collins' even goes into detail at some points throughout the book to describe the processes of collecting and examining the evidence gathered. He keeps you asking questions, without presenting the answers, at some points you might even become frustrated because he has you questions so many things and suspects, and you can't reach the answer until you read it. And he always answers every question, never forgetting a single one, and it leaves you satisfied with the conclusion, making you sit back and say, "Now why didn't I see that or think of that?"
