Reading this as part of my English Combined A Level and it is absolutely fantastic. It's based on a real murder of 4 members of a family in 1959 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Cold_Blood.).
I dont read a lot but this had me engrosed the whole way through - this is possibly becuase I'm obsessed with murders and the like but I just couldnt put it down.
The author, Truman Capote's description and imagery is outstanding and it's actaully quite a frightening read. Reading about a murder in such vivid detail really brings home to life how horrible such an incident must be, especially becuase it's a real event.
Capote spent years researching into the murder, interviewing both the murderers and people within the town of Kansas and looks deeply into the minds of the murderers
