Benfica 1-1 Marseille good match.

Marseille scored late equalizer to grab an away goal.bit disappointed as Angel Di Maria(benfica) is one of my favorite players and Marseille are really in the driving seat to go through

Bordeaux are the underdogs though, Mark my words, they'll be a hard game for anyone if they get past Olympiakos.

agree fully

Gourcuff is amazing and they have good players like Chamakh,Carrasso,Diarra,Gouffran and Ciani.Plus a really good manager in Laurent Blanc

To be honest I don't know too much about there team, but the way they cruised through a group containing Juve and Bayern was impressive. Only dropped 2 points as well. I don't think they'll fear anyone.

As long as United avoid Barcelona and Chelsea in the next round we should be safe into the semi final of the champions league. Who knows what can happen then? :8)

Bordeaux will give you a test, as will Arsenal, despite them being overrated.

CSKA or Sevilla and Bayern Munich will be piss easy ties.

But your defence looks pretty dodgy to me at the moment and I think teams can exploit that - if Milan could finish they would have been home and hosed by half time in the first leg.

Word, I think if Milan's strikers were a bit more vicious, the outcome would have been much different - oh well.

I'm actually really impressed with Bordeaux, they played extremely well in both legs against Juventus, although their away goal was offside  But their spirits impressed me, same with Lyon. I'm all for the French teams :) It's good to see some diversity out there in the CL final 8.

Oh definitely. I mean, it used to be the Germans dominting, then the Italians, then the Spanish, then the English but now no-one is dominating.

I remember when Newcastle were in the Champions LEague :'( Only 2002 :flutter:

Damnnnn, Newcastle was in the Champions League  I didn't even know :facepalm But yeah, I'm glad that some of the 'big' teams were knocked out, like Liverpool and Juventus. It makes the fight for the trophy more exciting. Although I would have loved seeing Fiorentina move on, it was such an honour watching them play so well and free flowing. It's a shame they are doing so shit in Serie A.

Yeah they beat Juventus at St James 1-0. Lost the first 3 group games but then won the next 3 against Juve, Dinamo Kiev & Feyenoor and got through. Good times.

Fiorentina were unfortunate. If it was wasn't for disgraceful refereeing and linesman perfomances in the 1st leg then wudda gone through. Disgrace. Bayern are a poor side.

They score one goal, and then they just close like a bunker(well most of the teams do). That's the reason I don't watch it that often.
