Sour Puss, Tom has it so he deserves it lol. Who cares about how many games were and weren't played.

Love your optimism haha. But Go Titans. ;)

I'm actually a Panthers fan but I go for Titans any time there not playing panthers. But the Panthers just find ways to lose. Its gets old watching them lose every game in the last minute. :'(

He didn't deserve it. Similar to how Randy Moss does not deserve the most TDs (with 23) in a season because Jerry Rice had 22 in a 12 game season.

Oh yeah you know what? let's pretend the Patriots didn't obliterate teams that season and take countless quarters off. They scored them, they deserve them get over it.

You musta not watched the same 2007 Patroits that I did. Because last I remember, those Patriots ran up the score even when it something like 44-10. Tom Brady was never pulled out of the game when he was supposed to, because they were upset about the Spygate and wanted to purposely chase a record to prove their cheating didn't help them win. Karma's a bitch because the same team they set the records against is the same team that ended their perfect season and their next super bowl attempt. I don't believe they deserve it for the above reasons, and if you disagree that's fine. But the fact is Tom Brady got 1 extra TD with 10 extra Quarters played than Peyton Manning (because peyton was pulled out to not risk injury for meaningless games).

2004 Peyton Manning
16 Games: 336/497, 67.6 Cmp%, 4557 YDs, 49 TDs, 10 INTs, 9.2 Y/A, 13.6 Y/C, 121.1 QB Rtg.

2007 Tom Brady
16 Games: 398/578, 68.9 Cmp%, 4806 YDs, 50 TDs, 8 INTs, 8.3 Y/A, 12.1 Y/C, 117.2 QB Rtg.

81 less attempts equate to about 10 quarters. Here are the projected stats had peyton manning played those quarters:

2004 Peyton Manning with 81 more attempts
391/578, 67.6 Cmp%, 5295 Yds, 57 TDs, 12 INTs, 121.1 QB Rtg.

2007 Tom Brady
16 Games: 398/578, 68.9 Cmp%, 4806 YDs, 50 TDs, 8 INTs, 8.3 Y/A, 12.1 Y/C, 117.2 QB Rtg.

So yeah, i think Peyton Manning deserves the record more because he had the better season and didn't need 10 extra quarters. But at the end of the day, it's Tom Brady who has it which is why I'd prefer if Peyton just re-breaks it than having this debate.

btw, here's the link for all the above stats if you wondering:

The point is Tom has it. Saying something like somebody else deserves it more is ridiculous. It's not like Tom and Randy won the records by default. If Peyton breaks it this season then so be it, great for football, great for everybody. Records are meant to be broken. But who ever has it, earned it.

Saying things like that just knocks off what they did that season, which was incredible.

No it's not ridiculous. I realize Tom Brady has it and I've stated that, but just because he has the record does not mean I have to think he deserves it. Especially how they approached that season with them running up the score consistently.

What they did that season by the way is be the first team to go 18-1 and lose the super bowl. So yes I remember that season, i just dont have much appreciation for it because i know why they did what they did. How they forced Tom Brady to throw in the 4th quarter of a game they were up by 30+ points and such.

He still earned it, so he rightfully deserves it. What anybody else could have done is irrelevant.

Lol if you're going to be that simple about it then we can just beg to differ right here and end this convo. Yes Tom Brady has it, yes he earned it, but no i dont think he deserves it more than someone who played 10 quarters less than Tom and Tom still only broke the record by 1 TD. Especially considering how the Patriots approached that season. And there's no way you'll convince me that Randy Moss deserves his 23 TDs in 16 games versus Jerry Rice's 22 TDs in 12 games. But yes at the end of the day, both Tom and Randy have the record and they earned it, you're right happy?

No, just want to let you know feeling like someone else deserves the record comes off as your playing favourites. This shouldn't matter. This happens in sports all the time. There's tons of players who are in this position who could have done it but didn't but who gives a ahit about them right? Does it matter? No. Should it matter? No. Saying it, or the thought alone is stupid. It is what it is. He has the record and he deserves it, anybody who works as hard to earn it deserves it and that goes for every quarterback, receiver, whatever the fuck.

Yea that was dumb. That Colts pick probably won't even be a high pick.

True. Could still be a good game. Still not used to the Steelers being bad tbh.

Yeah they've fallen apart, their o-line has been shit for a while, plus they have no running game and their receiving core sucks.

Defense is still intact as long as they got coach Lebeau.
