Here's how I see things:

From the players we currently have, the ones who should leave the club are Drogba, Anelka, Ferreira, Zhirkov, Hilario, Kalou and Malouda.

I will feel really bad when/if Drogba leaves, the man won everything he could with Chelsea (except the CL obviously), he was the best scorer in the league last season, he gave his maximum, BUT this season he's been playing miserably and the years are starting to get to him. He should catch a plane back to France, while we can still get a decent amount of money for him.

I don't know what to say about Anelka, the man is just too old to keep playing for us, we need to start relying on younger players, no matter the cost.

I would be satisfied when Ferreira leaves, but thankful at the same time, because he was outstanding during his first few seasons, he simply helped the team a lot.

Zhirkov is a talent for Russia, eventually for Italy, but definitely not for England, the man simply didn't show anything of the apparent 'Russian Ronaldinho' and it's time for him to go.

Hilario is for retirement, there is no need to sit on the bench and get paid when some young keeper can learn from Cech.
Same goes for Turnbull, just that he isn't ready for retirement, but he is THE WORST keeper I've ever seen. There is no benefit from him sitting on the bench when he's no good.

Kalou was described as a huge talent, he was getting a lot of praise from 'critics' when he joined Chelsea. He has been here for what, 4-5 seasons, and he hasn't shown anything special.

Malouda - when he came from Lyon, he was totally lost, but the last couple of season he was great. This season though, he is one of the least inspired players and all that concerns him is his hair-style, lol.

So, with the departure of these players, the team will be significantly weakened, but they should be exchanged with hungry younger players in need of outplaying and making history.


My shopping list for the summer:

With the money we could get from selling the above players, we could buy a few younger players in every part of the pitch.

Keeper sub - Delac should be returned back from Vitesse, he would be a great sub for Cech.

We need a right back also, best option for me is van der Wiel, he's got all the characteristics for a back, he's got speed and technique, plus he's great in defense (duh!).
In terms of a left back sub, I can see Aanholt back from Leicester.

Middle - we need a left/right winger, maybe Sanchez for the right side, and Dzagoev or Hamšík for a playmaker.

Attack - the offense looks pretty strong with the arrival of Torres, but I would like to see him play with Sturridge next season.

Manager - definitely not Ancelotti, I'm thankful for last season, but it's obvious that Ray Wilkins was the one who was deciding the formations and tactics. The perfect manager would be Hiddink, we all know that he got us out of the shit-hole after he took over from Scolari. The man is a term for success.


I know my wishes are surreal, but a man can dream and hope. If at least some of them come true, Chelsea would become a more dangerous, superior team hungry for success.
