Levante are doing some unbelievable stuff,sadly,I cant see them sustaining this form for the entire season,it's only a matter of weeks before their bubble burst..me think.

Why are we called the bitters?

Rags? Because back in the day united were so poorly supported and so poor that their shirts looked like rags. In the 1920s they used to get less than 10000 supporters. Until the Munich Air Disaster changed all that.

@cityfan

humiliating defeat indeed.it felt like I got ran over by a truck after the game..but at the end of the day its still only 3 points and a couple weeks of local bragging rights..nothing is won and lost yet..and its also like a wake up call to our defending for the past weeks leading to the derby,we have been riding our luck defensively,the whole thing just collapsed against you guys(not forgeting the red card)

Remember in season 06/07 we lost to Arsenal home and away,in season 07/08 we lost to City home and away and in season 08/09 to Liverpool home and away..and guess what happened those three seasons, we :hooray:

I'm sure you know why you are called the bitter neighbours..and the whole rags thing is a myth,I've heard about 5 different explanitions and reasons on how the tag 'rags' came about from City supporter with different date/year...City made that up out of bitterness..

Î'm heading out now mate,have a nice day my friend.

fixed.

That result will mean little to United or City's supporters for that matter, in a few months, if we still went on to lift the Tittle...dont forget City aren't a botton-mid table team anymore,they've spent almost a billion £ already,and only winning the Tittle will truly satisfy them now,not bragging over a 6-1 victory for years,while their trophy cabinet remain scanty.failing to win the Tittle after spanking us at OT, and with almost a billion spent will mean they're still well and truly in our shadows.

Agreed, United does get the easier teams... because of this little thing called seeding. It generally does better than all other english teams and the rest of Europe bar Barca. And look at the group they've got.

Spent almost a billion? on what? Swear this figure gets higher every year. The difference in cost between the starting line-ups on Sunday wasn't that much and you got absolutely schooled. We put you firmly in your place, just deal with it.

On the subject of the 'rags' story - it started nearly 100 years ago of course the story is going to vary :laughing:. You still have not explained what we are bitter about :coffee:

Spurs are looking good.

Further into cup they have beaten big teams... you think Man United have the status they have from beating small teams?
