It is still incredible that this coach has managed 9 years of football in 4 different leagues and not lost a single home game. Even in defeat :worship:

If he can knock somebody the fuck out with his elbow surely he can swear on television too. I know a lot of kids are watching but players should be allowed to express themselves (although this is quite silly). You can't even take your shirt off when you celebrate, you can't do anything because everything is getting so political.

Didn't he get away with something similar during the WC? They are a bunch of hypocrites if they punish him now which they will probably do now that he isn't busy making money for his country.

It's the heat of the moment and he has just turned the game around completely.

Did I ever say it made sense? I just said that everything shouldn't get that political. It is getting boring and taking away the heart of the game. Who actually felt offended when he said "fuck" :P

He never said he wanted a move to Manchester City. That's just a good headline when you're a journalist trying to promote yourself.

To tell you the truth im really starting to dislike him..

Not saying he did himself any favours last summer. No doubt he was acting like an idiot (whether he was mislead by agents or not) but he never came out and said he wanted a move to any particular club. Technically it could be his advisors who "leaked" that kind of information to the newspapers but you're always innocent till procen guilty.

It didn't surprise me anyway. 99 % of footballers put their own interest first, and that's fair. Torres is a perfect example of that. If he decided to stay at Liverpool, he would have come across as an unambitious little fuck. Yeah, Rooney had just had a very good season and was 1 point away from winning the Premier League, but everyone knows that there's a lot of stuff going on with the Glazer's around.

The day United aint fighting for trophies anymore, Rooney and the rest of the top players are gone. You can say the very same thing about City and Chelsea.

They punished Drogba for saying "fucking disgrace", they should do the same to Rooney.

And I couldn't understand, what exactly did he say? "fucking something"...

UEFA punished Drogba, not the FA.

He said ''WHAT? fucking WHAT?!''

i dont see anything out of line there,EPL is a Fucking joke...

And after the game he took the time to apologise

“I want to apologise for any
offence that may have been
caused by my goal celebration,
especially to any parents or
children that were watching, ” said
Rooney. “Emotions were running
high and on reflection my heat of
the moment reaction was
inappropriate, it was not aimed at
anyone in particular. ”

Rooney is a shadow of his former self tbh.

I know he just scored a hat-trick, but he hasn't looked the same player for quite some time now. I think it was last year when he got injured against Bayern Munich, he hasn't been the same since.

His performance at the World Cup was one of the worst I have ever seen from any England player. He was shockingly bad. I don't know what has gone wrong, but he just isn't "that guy" anymore.
