Official 2012 NBA Playoffs Thread

Playoffs start on April 28th, so here's a chance to state the team you'll be rooting for, and leave some prediction for the winner. We'll also be able to discuss the current series as they occur. My team is Memphis, and I believe they can even win it all. But realistically speaking, I'm assuming the Heat will succeed in their goal this time around.

I would like to see Bulls, Thunder or Clippers in the final.
I think Oklahoma has the best chances.

Good thread. I'm ready for this shit to get poppin', I seriously think the title is wide open this year for a number of teams, as opposed to just 2 or 3 teams in a regular length season.

I'm from LA, been a Laker fan since '99, so that's my team.

I like our chances, we got a good starting unit, especially when Ron is on. Glad our idiot coach finally realized that Hill can produce.

I honestly think San Antonio, OKC, Heat, Bulls, Grizzlies (very dangerous with their size, defense, and perimeter play), Pacers, Celtics and Lakers all have a shot. My heart says LA, but my mind says OKC. If my Lakers don't win, I'm fine with anyone BUT the Heat (and Celtics)....

I honestly think San Antonio is the best team in nba right now. Been a spurs fan since about '01, and I would love to see them win another championship.

Definitely, this year's playoffs could be the best since forever. 2012 is shaping to be the dopest year for basketball and Hip-Hop for me, hope I won't end up disappointed, lol.

I don't follow basketball that much but I gotta say, Kobe fell off.

And i'm not rooting for anyone, just gonna enjoy the games.

He got older man. He's still great for that age. And his last night's performance was amazing, even though he missed a whole lot of shots, his clutch skills were phenomenal.

I think the Lakers still have a decent chance to win the ring this year. Kobe is still great (he's gotten older but he's still leading in minutes played and basically tied [first all season] in PPG, that's incredible for a 16 year veteran), Pau is hitting his groove, Bynum is a monster, Sessions is quick and can get to the rim and MWP is ballin' (Harden was asking for that elbow, in my opinion. But MWP still deserves 2-3 games for that..)

So yeah. Go Lakers! This'll be an amazing playoffs.

I don't know if we're any better this year, but the addition of Sessions was huge. Losing Odom hurts, but I think we have a chance. OKC is young and at home, almost unbeatable. If we get past them we've got to fuck with the Spurs, who always play us well.

I saw most of the 4th quarter and both overtimes and they didnt even mention it. I didnt find out that he elbowed harden till after the game. He should get 5 games, only cause I'm a Laker fan

MWP out for 7 games.. hmm. LAL vs DEN first round, should go to about 5-6, Lakers win (most likely). LAL vs OKC in Round 2... MWP out for 1-2 games in that series. Should be interesting.
