NBA 2012-13

Postby Spyder » Jul 11th, '12, 00:35

alot big trades and deals already, any REAL early predictions?

highlights of everything so far are

Nash to the Lakers

Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis to the Heat

KG signs back with Celtics and they pick up Jason Terry.

Nets move to Brooklyn and will most likely get Dwight Howard

Knicks sign Marcus Camby

Hornets obviously got Anthony Davis after a rigged Draft, and pick up teammate Rivers

honestly Nash to lakers is beast, gives em another run at the title imo.
Ray and Rashard will be coming off the bench so it doesnt really change the heat imo
if nets get howard will obv morph that team amazingly

if celts can get a real big, and put terry or bradley at the two, they can be contenders
and if the knicks figure their shit out they can take it aswell

Fuck i didnt know rashard lewis went to the heat...smh

If the lakers get howard it'll be a tough call for the finals, but if not heat beat the thunder again.

Duncan signed for 3 years with the spurs, but they won't make it to the finals after the past 2 seasons...so as of now I'd say thunder vs heat again, heat win. It all depends where howard goes, but if he does go to the rockets it means nothing.

rockets?

last i heard it was nets that he was looking at.

i dont see the heat repeating.
if the celts can replace allen with a young shooter they can take east.
if knicks work shit out they can take it.
if kobe and nash blend well, there ya go

and brandon roys back

yeah rockets are moving people out to make cap space. They're trying but who knows what will happen. Nets ended talks as of now for howard, but again, who knows.

I think the heat have the best chance, next is the thunder, but beyond that it depends where howard goes.

Dwight needs to pick a fucking place. I'd take him or Bynum at this point. Bynum's better at offense, but he's not as good at D and inconsistent. Either way I think the Lakers are gonna be good next year. Nash is a monstrous pick up.

Kidd to NY Knicks.
I don`t see how Nash-Kobe will work out. Kobe has the ball 90% of the time Lakers are in possession, and plays one on one most of the time. We will see if I am wrong.

Nash will take a lot of pressure of Kobe. Don't get it twisted, Kobe's still the lead dog. But I expect that Nash will do almost all of the ball handling. It's his specialty. The offense will feature more pick and rolls, and with Nash being a knock down shooter, he'll open up more shots for others like Kobe, Pau, etc. Kobe's role will be the same as last year, only now he won't have to stall the ball for so long. People think he hogs when in reality a lot of last seasons shortcomings resulted in the half court offense being stagnant and people passing to Kobe with less than ten on the shot clock. The Lakers were at a disadvantage in that way, in that they had a new coach and system completely in a shortened season. While other teams, i.e. OKC and the Heat, had the same schemes and system, so they're team didn't do much rehauling. I predict this season will have much better results; they've got more time and a quality point. I'm excited.

if howard goes to lakers thats just silly, almost instant ring if they have any chemistry what-so-ever
ppl say bynum is the west's DH but i disagree. bynum just isnt as much of a powerhouse. nash and dwight would add so much diversity to the line-up Kobe would be free to do more off the ball work.
theyd prolly trade gasol in the mix though

bynum is the second best center in the game even tho i dont really like him, i like him for his production but as a person not really.

I honestly see the top teams being
1.) Heat,
2.) Thunder,
3.) Lakers,
4.) Knicks
5.) Nets (More or less depending on how they mesh)

If the Lakers get howard flip the Thunder and the Lakers, put the Lakers and the Heat in the finals in a seven game series imo, with either team taking it. At least imo.
