Is anyone watching Carmelo fucking go off? Kobe's my favorite player, hands down, bar none. But Melo is close, I'm happy to see him get the respect he deserves. 34 points is an all time USA record, 9/11 from three so far.

Side note, Kobe's got 16. Probably done for the game, keep his minutes down in a blowout for later games.

Honestly the Olympics are one of the more exciting moments in sports. I don't ever watch Badminton or water polo or swimming, etc. But following the progress of different nations is always fun. People competing for national pride.

Yes, this being an event of global recognition, people do anything to win a medal and have their national anthem played before a world wide audience. It's a great honor.

Did you watch the opening ceremony, Sam? If so, as you're not from the UK, what was your opinion on it?

I did, in bits and pieces. I was doing something. But from the bit that I watched all I have to say is:

It was more of a fashion parade. You should have seen the ladies from Jamaica and Italy, the way they presented makes me say that. Many in the fashion bizz are calling this the most stylist Olympic ever. The ceremony was so British. But was confusing for most of the parts. I couldn't make out what was happening, it didn't fit sequentially. Maybe it was broadcasted that way.

Going to watch the Mens Olympic Football final at Wembley. Hoping for Great Britain FC (still sounds weird) to be there but wouldn't mind seeing Brazil either. The Olympic Park should be a great atmosphere too.

I think the opening ceremony was brilliant. Showcases to the world what Great Britain has given it. Not many countries can put on a display of history like that. Things like the biggest musicians ever to the most used language and beyond.

I haven't watched much of the football.

My team mate and good friend is over there now. Got to play against Neymar / Marcelo which is pretty unreal.

I totally agree. I thought Danny Boyle did an outstanding job with the opening ceremony.
