Spain have been brilliant. Not exactly surprising, though!

Because Osvaldo was omitted 'cuz of what he did after the Roma vs. Lazio game... everybody is getting fed up with his bullshit to be honest.

Who knows man, but I think Pirlo needed to leave. He started to look lazy and was in dire need of inspiration and rejuvenation :shifty:
Pirlo coulda had a hattrick of free kicks today. He knew Mexico was weak at defending those and came close the following two.

I know homie... it was great for Pirlo of course. Just that it was incredibly bad for Milan.

Carlo Mazzone made him that so many years ago. When Pirlo was young they were using him way more forward at Inter than what his position became after Mazzone put him there to play behind Roberto Baggio while he was on loan playing for Brescia.

I kinda expected it to be honest... just didn't expect it was gonna be all over that soon in the game.

Brilliant match, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Japan played some fantastic football and were so unlucky not to come away with anything.

That whole defense was bad :n: Bunch of nobodies, show no potential.
Oh well.

I agree... we got to a point Italy sucks in defense. :o

It was a great game but I got annoyed too many times in it so I guess it's better you just saw the result & read about it. :y: Italy defense sucked bad again... :facepalm

Yeah Menzo, but if you think about it, if they didn't do, there would be critical anyway, like - Oh look, Spain can't score more goals with Tahiti...

The only one that celebrated a bit was Villa. I guess maybe they saw the chance to beat the record of goals of our national team (13 against Bulgaria back in 1930 or so...)

Yeah, I watched the re-run and it was pretty pathetic. I blame Prandelli, his starting eleven was shambolic. Maggio? Aquilani? C'mon man, it's the SECOND game of the group stages, you should always put your best team in so you can capitalize and ensure your progression.

Italy got lucky, but still managed to fight back. Both teams got the softest penalties in the world. De Rossi was a monster though, what a bomb of a header and heat seeking pass to Marchisio :worship:

I agree... De Rossi's been Italy's best player along Pirlo for that whole last year while he's been Roma's worst one for the same period. lol

Isco might be choosing City over Real Madrid after all?

Really hope so.

If we got Cavani as the final piece of the jigsaw that would be incredible.
