missing posts

ok... i go to bed last night..... i had 1000 posts.... i wake up and get online today.... i got 940.......

that is not fair. were did they go? and wat did i do to get them taken away? cus this some bullshit..... it took me 5 months to get that high. i dont know if it was a mistake.... i donno if its a joke.... i dont know if its punishment.... but i wanna know wat the hell is goin on

This forum has a post recount feature that I run once a month ( though will start running it once a week ). Basically, if you post in a thread that is later moved into backstage, your post count will not update till I run the post recount. As I haven't run it for around 2 months, it would bound to affect peoples post but only by a small amount.

.. and Evil Monkeh, you've been here long enough to know that post counts doesn't mean little. Value a forum for the people you meet, not the insignificant statistics ... wow, someone should quote me.

yes.... i know i should and its not that i dont.... but i wake up and its just like..... wered they go? cus i di my shouty outs..... and then i wake up, and i have no reason for it.... its like a fake shout out...... i donno... it just confused me

andd i dont rember havin ne of my posts moved backstage and i dont get it...... wen u do the recount thing, will it come back up? and y do u run a post count? and wat exactly dos it do?

A post recount simply counts all posts from the forum sections where posts are allowed, that way your true post count always shows. When run once a week it will only change your post count by one or two but because its been two months, a lot of threads may have been moved since then.

The only way the post recount feature will affect you is:

* If you post in a thread that is later moved to Backstage

* Or if you post in a thread that is then removed

This does not happen often and so your post count will hardly ever go down, but its been a long time since I last run the feature. You won't notice it from now on ... but try not to let it worry you, there's a hell of a lot more problems in life then a decrease in post count.
