TR sigs and avys

why are TR sigs and avys so small, compared to other forums.. in other forums i see huge ass sigs with like 4 different pictures, whereas we can only have 1 picture and its pretty small compared to other forums...

is there any way it could be changed, so we could have bigger sigs and avatars... this would be better seeing as people always need to shrink things..

This is exactly why the limits are set.
This is a discussion board, the emphasis should not be on graphics.
In the graphics section, post all the graphics you want but many signatures and large avatars, slow the forum down, make threads harder to read and follow and there really is not need for more then one signature image to express yourself.

..just one more question.. would u be able to change the limit to the sigs slightly bigger? like.. change it from 500x150 to 600x200.. coz i have sigs slightly bigger than the limit..

IM completely against big sigs coz on other forums the sigs are so damn anoying so i dont even feel like reeding threads most of the time. Infact id support gettting rid of sigs all together.

Although i think avatar sizes could be 150x150 , not like an extra 100kb per page is gonna change something(also taking into concern that most of us have cookies enabled and our computer saves the pictures that are used often in the temp folder)

Also, if we have a limit of an avatar size = to 100kb, why can we not have 150 x150 for the same limit?

Good point Aspirine, if the avatar limit remains at 100kb, then larger avatars would not make much difference. The fact remains, large images are unsightly and this is a forum, not a picture gallery. I'll consider increasing avatar size but the forum skin has a fixed width as it is ... we don't want a lot of the space taken up by graphics ...

alot of forums who have BIG gfx sections even have these restrictions

nah, 4 sigs per user would make it messy and we wouldn't be able to read the thread.. just look at D12world - everytime i'm there it's hard to read anything, cause they all have their signatures big and colorful..

I agree, if you go to D12World it's fuckin hard to read with those huge sigs and stuff.......as for the avys i also like it when they are 150x150............

anyway i totally agree with T n Asp n Sarah n the rest of u - large sigs make the threads annoying to read, so the limits are fine as it is - if u wanna change the avvy size it's fine with me though
