first of all, the name. WTF. "old school" would be better. secondly, what's wrong with the hip hop section?! this is a pointless section.

You're right. It's not "clever" because it's not original.
However, it does jazz up the name.

Nothing's wrong with the hiphop section, this is a SUB section, it's not like we took away the hiphop section. If you don't like it don't post. But other people like it. It's good so the threads don't get lost in every day stuff in the hiphop section. And i kinda like the name. Live with it.

Let me break it down for you guys, since it seems like some of us need shit drawn in Paint to understand certain things, I can of course take my time and really kick it for you in MS Paint (oldschool-style), but I'd rather explain it in a written form:

- it is a SUB section, which means it is a part of the Hip Hop forum, but purposed strictly for a certain hip hop genre (or era), where you can make all kinds of topics related to that part of its history, which leads us to the next point..

-..there is bunch of people who enjoy this music, so we thought that since we got the Underground section and UK Hip Hop section (sort of pointless, but I'll leave it for you guys to complain and bitch about, it's not like I don't think about all the weepers in here), why not have an Oldschool section and give them a new place to dwell and discuss? This is connected to the 3rd point..

- we will avoid the mess in the HH section. All the oldschool-related topics will stay in one place which will make it easier to browse the forum and find topics you'd like to check out.

- the name.. "Kickin' It Oldschool" - I don't really get why you think it's unoriginal.. I like it and I thought it's going to sound better than simply "Oldschool - you can discuss oldschool hip hop here" - for shit's sake people, be creative.

- last point is that creating a new subsection made me feel God-like and I kinda liked the thought of being able to create something from nothing.. Wow, you should totally feel that rush.




Last of all.. Medicine Ball, I don't wanna sound harsh, but firstly: thinking doesn't hurt that much, so I'd appreciate constructive feedback next time. Secondly, your a newbie here, so really, try to contribute yourself at first and then criticize.
