So if I understand correctly, the title of the forum would be "general music" (or whatever) and Hip Hop Domain as a subsection?

I don't see how it is that hard to check other sections.
Anyway, I disagree with you about merging them together. What we CAN do, though, is to put "General Music" under Hip Hop Domain as a sub-section.

There aren't enough people here who care about music outside of hiphop (truly a shame) so it's not going to change a thing.

Anyway, another suggestion from me would be merging Comedy Crib to Backstage, or putting it as a subsection of Backstage or Entertainment.

I'd say leave things are they are, it may not be very popular right
now but it also serves to subconsciously show our support of other
genres. I know of many who branch out to other genres as they mature
(after all, the best of any genre is great music), and this section
also serves to state our intentions, putting out a sign that we
encourage other genres too and if it bridges the path for those
discovering new types of music.. it can only be a good thing. Plus, it
also means those who do only care about Hip Hop, won't have to filter
through a bunch of other genres to find threads matching their tastes.
