Start-up slow...please help

Postby katastrophe » Jun 12th, '06, 19:15

whenever i turn on my computer it takes a LONG ASS TIME to start up. is there anything i can do to make the start up faster? i limited the programs to almost nothing and checked for viruses/spyware/adware and nothing came up. its only slow before the welcome screen and after i click on the administrators account. when it reaches the desktop picture its fine but it takes 10 minutes to reach that point. please help me. i have Windows XP SP2.
