I've got a decision to make...

i'm in the process of buying some equipment that i will use to produce, record and mix a demo and mixtape.

I've got a 2 year old compaq laptop with ableton live 5 on it.

Should I look at buying external equipment (mpc, keyboard, mixer etc.) or software (FL Studio, Acid pro, Pro Tools etc).

Or even a bit of both?

My budget is pretty high at the moment so thats not a factor.
