HELP ME: My CD-RW discs aren't being detected as CD-RWs!!!!

Well, basically, I have a CD-RW/DVD+-RW drive and I bought a completely new set of CD-RW discs just yesterday. Whenever I put any 1 of the 10 new CD-RWs i have, the cd drive detects it as a regular cd, and i can't burn any thing because it tells me to insert a CD-RW disc. These CD-RWs are burning perfectly fine on my other laptop, so i'm sure there's something wrong here, but what?

need ta use a different software....try nero or sonic record now.
