Cropping a Video....

I'm looking a software for cropping the videos and save them in .avi format... I recently got 8-9 Eminem music videos in .vob format and now I wanna crop them... I've explained what I want below with the help of screen shots....

The videos I got in .vob format r like this

I wanna crop the highlighted part...

And make the videos like this

Can anyone help me out???

I've used Vegas before.... everything is great but its creates a white layer in front of the video which ruins everything.... See the screen shots of .vob file and after using Vegas
