Antivirus or anti-virus software is used to prevent, detect, and remove malware, including but not limited to computer viruses, computer worms, trojan horses, spyware and adware. symnatec is actually good, the only negative side to this antivirus is the large use of ram . This causes the pc/laptop to run slower, unless you have large ram(4gb). in the near future or when you pc crashes, get yourself a mac. it's more stable and has rarely any viruses. thats what i am going to do

You really should. Sucking up twice as many CPU cycles on two real-time scanners, you stand a pretty good chance of the one package detecting the other one and flagging it as a virus.

never had an anti virus, never had a virus (as far as I can tell that has effected me). They use unnecessary resources and are annoying as fuck. Just don't dl dodgy shit lol.
