how do i stop a computer from freezing?

can someone please tell me because its annoying when chatting then all of a sudden it freezes. please tell me what to do to make it stop. i checked for viruses/spyware/adware and nothing came up. i tried a lot of other stuff but i dont feel like typing them all. please, someone help me.

Run disk defrag every month. And backup and repair ur register every once in a while.

cause it prevents your comp form overheating

It mainly slows down and freezes if you have to may processes (programs) running and taking up the memory.

thats some funny shit. i do download all the stuff but i download it to my 120GB external hard drive so i dont think it would effect the performance of my comp but i could be wrong. lol..that was hilarious though homie. :laughing:
