Laptop battery

Postby Guess_Who » Sep 1st, '13, 12:01

The battery of my HP laptop it is dying. It only has one year, and is already out of warranty.

I saw the original costs around 150 €. I don't feel like spending so much. So I thought about bying a battery supported, and I saw a Duracell one for 30€. The price difference is huge, but I'm afraid to have problems.

Someone here exchanged the battery for a non original one? Any problem? I've read it can explode...but I also read it won't be any problem. So I don't know what to do.

Typically computers come with a three year warranty, the fine line is batteries only come with a year warranty. Your best bet is to try writing a letter to see if you could get a free one. Somebody may feel sympathy. Depends what country you're in too.

Thanks for answer. It has no guaranty anymore. I already contacted with them . They told me batteries only have 6 months of guaranty... :confusion:

I think I'll buy the Duracell one and save a prayer it doesn't explode. :-p

I hope so. Because I don't feel like spending 150 € in the original. Since I bought this laptop it gives me a lot of problems.

People don't buy HP !!! to me HP stands for Hijos de Puta. :-p

I had a printer HP and gave a lot of problems too. The laptop gave some minor problems from the beginning. But I'm surprised by the battery thing because i don't use it much . Maybe one or 2 hours per day. We have another laptop at home, it has a few years and never gave a single problem.

I won't buy anything from HP anymore...

Hijos de Puta....That's what HP stands for...

I remember my printer.........I was doing homework for college, and that stuff would be printing normally and suddenly at the end would type something like this : ) : ) : ) $$$$ : ) : )

So you had to start again......I also had problems with an HP monitor.......

Stay away HP....
