Frostwire has Limewire results + more. Bearshare and Ares both have spyware/adware.

As for limewire vs. frostwire, frostwire doesn't have the "sponsored results".

Both are a major threat to your computer due to the fact that you're allowing another computer to access yours. Even if you're not sharing, to download a song your computer must make a direct connection to another computer. From there someone can inject viruses, malware, spyware, keyloggers, etc.

Torrents and private trackers are the way to go
