well too damn bad, cuz there is a shit load of obsessive fans then. not just eminem ones.
Wow.
... that was my whole point. there are THOUSANDS of obsessive fans that imitate their favorite artists. it's just that because em acknowledged it in his song and commented on how bad it can get, and basically put down any fan that acts that way, they back off and change their minds and decide not to do that.
em wasn't the only one that did that, mind you. going back to the avril lavigne thing, she also said how much she hates fans copying her, not for the sake of maintaining sanity, but just cuz they're stealing her style and her ideas and her look.
Look, i aint saying, it cant be an age faze thing, infact i know that in most cases it is. But getting a tattoo about eminem during that phaze = plain stupid.
---------------------------------------------------
asp, not everyone thinks like you. old shows titled "fanatic" or "fanography" was never meant to be viewed as obsessive or insane. the majority of the world didn't look at it like that.
Whats to look at, obsession is obsession, i aint saying im perfect and that i didnt go through phazes. At 13-14 i had my own obsessions for my own rappers. ma
maybe you did, and whatever, that's your personaly opinion so hats off to you. but i'm just saying back then, if you had fans standing outside an arena wearing your clothes and had phrases painted on their face, waiting for an autograph or just a glimpse of you to come out, most people would say "damn, those are true fans." they looked at that as a symbol of dedication and loyalty.
Once again, tattooing =/= painting, dressing. It takes Imitating to a whole new level. Everybody immitates at some point were all only human. Im sorry if i cannot say its "cool" to be an imitator.
and some people still do look at it like that. i remember on the all access europe dvd, when em was done with a show, he came to the dressing room and commented on these girls that were in the front row and sang word for word each and every one of em's songs. and you could tell that meant something to him. he didn't look at them like stans or nothin.
thats words to a song. I Know every word in "they reminisce over you" by pete rock and cl, thats about being a fan. I will have to agry with u on that.
kids are impressionable. they don't have anyone to look up to than their favorite artists. you cam't blame them for doing the things they do. how many times have i heard of a little boy jumping off a counter or his roof cuz he wanted to fly like superman?
Captain obvious told me tha exact same thing a long time ago and i said i know exactly wat he means. But u dont pat the kid that jumps from the roof
on the head and say "thats cool", what ur gonna say is "wtf were u thinking, u coulda hurt urself."
life imitates art. i don't find anyting wrong with that... unless you end up stuffing your girlfriend in a trunk or whatever.
prophecy foretold that the second coming of the obsessive groupie that has a trillion pictures of eminem on his computer, dies hair blonde and chops women and stuffs them in suitcases will happen pretty soon.
Anyone of the people here could be the chosen one.

wiped out for good
nah send the w.iggers and the immitators to a harder place, were people have jobs and were there is responsibility, and independancy and their idols will instantly change.
