ok I've never wrote fanfiction before this is my first time. please let me know what you think. This is a Buffy FanFiction Story. I do not own any of the characters. Nor do I own the story of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. That is all property of Joss Whedon, Mutant Enemey, WB and UPN. So there is no copyright infringment intended. Plz. leave feed back thank you. Back To The Past


With the flash of a bright blue light the brightness of the day faded into dark in the matter of a second. Buffy, Giles, Anya and Tara all looked at eachother.
"What the hell just happened Gile's?" Buffy asked in a state of confusion. "I - I don't know I think we might have stepped through a time portal, or worse a time warp" Gile's replied
"What's the difference?" asked Tara.
"The difference is" Giles said "a time portal just teleports us to another place in time, where as a time warp, warp's us into another dimension."
Buffy could feel a strange butterfly sensation in her tummy.
Anya didn't say a word, she just stood there, jaw dropped, in a state of shock. Then finally she managed to mumble, "How do we know which one we stepped through? I mean I know we're in Sunnydale cuz' well there's the Bronze but isn't it possible Sunddydale could still exist in another dimension?"
"Well yes Anya it's possible. There's only one way to find out which one we stepped through" Giles replied. "How's that?" asked Tara
"We go to Buffy's house and see if she live's there." said Giles

They were right across the street from the Bronze so the walk to Buffy's house wasn't far. Only about ten minute's at the most. They were all scared and confused as to how this had happened. Wondering, if it is a time portal are they in the past or the future? and what if it's not a time portal? what if it's a time warp? how will they get back to their world? They reached Buffy's house and slowly approched the door scared of who or what might be answering it.

"Should I just walk in or should I knock on the door just in case?" Buffy asked "Knock." replied Giles "Great, I've never had to knock on the door of my own house before, but okay." Buffy said playfully. Tara and Anya laughed. Giles looked at them with seriousness "nothing about this is funny" he said. Buffy looked at Giles as she knocked on the door and said "Gee's Giles, have a sense of humor, would you."

Just then the door opened and a young brunette, with an athletic body and beatiful brown eye's stood in the door way. A look of shock on her face. She looked to be about 19 year's of age.
Seeing the confusing in her eye's Buffy said "I'm sorry we don't mean to bother you and this is probably going to sound crazy but we're from the year 2002 and we believe we either stepped through a time portal or a time warp. And from the look's of it I'm guessing a time warp...."
"No, no time portal" the girl said cutting Buffy off. "I'm sorry what?" replied Buffy "You stepped through a time portal, not warp. You'd be in another dimension if you stepped through a time warp." the girl replied
"oh, so I take it I do live here then" said Buffy. "Yeah, this is your house but your not home right now. Your out patroling at the moment. So are you gonna come in or stay out side in the cold?" the girl asked. "Oh yeah of course" said Buffy. Then she turned to Tara and Anya and jokingly asked "Did I just seriously get invited into my own house?"

Curious as to who this girl was and how she had come to know her in the future Buffy asked "I'm sorry, how exactly is it that I know you?"
"Oh" replied the girl "My name's Kennedy, I'm a potential slayer. There's a bunch of us that are staying here. We're all getting ready to enter into this huge battle against the first"
Buffy looked at the girl confused "The first?" she asked. "Yeah it's a long and complicated story" said Kennedy.

Just then Spike walked into the room. "Oh, hey Spike" Ken said. Spike didn't reply instead she noticed his eye's drift over to the young blonde girl she had never met before. She figured he was confused "They stepped through a time portal" she said. "Yeah I can see that" replied Spike "I kind of noticed it when I saw the gost of Willow's past sitting there." Tara looked at Spike with confusion.

Just then it hit Kennedy as to who this girl was. 'OMG' she thought to herself. 'It couldn't be' but she knew it was. She looked at the girl.
"I'm sorry, your not, I mean you couldn't possibly be, there's no way, I mean are you?"
Tara and Spike both looked at Kennedy confused and Spike said "I'm sorry, was that even a sentence that just came out of your mouth? cuz to me it sounded like you were just mumbling."
Kennedy noticed the girl was looking at her like she was crazy or something. "What - I was - trying to say is - are you Tara?"
"Yes, I'm Tara" the girl replied confused as to why Kennedy was even asking.

Ken didn't know what to say at that moment. Coming to the realization of what was going on Spike broke the silence. "So Gile's, Anya and Buffy, why don't you come with me and I'll show you where you guy's can sleep tonight." he said and as they headed upstairs Buffy asked. "What about Tara?" "Oh" replied Spike "I'm gonna wait until Willow come's home and let her decide where Tara will sleep." Buffy got confused and as they entered into one of the bedroom's she asked Spike "Are Will and Tara not together anymore?"

"Not exactally" Spike replied "It's more complicated then that"

"How so?" asked Buffy

"Well it's not exactally my place to tell you this but I don't want to leave you in confusion sooooo, I guess I'll just tell you." Spike said

"Not so fast!" replied Giles "It might not be good for us to know too much about the future"

"Giles is right" said Anya "it might be too dangerous for us to know too much."

Meanwhile back down stairs Kennedy and Tara sat in complete silence. Feeling uncomfortable, Kennedy tried her best not to make eye contact. Just then Buffy and Willow walked through the door. "oh, hey Kennedy, hey Tara" they both said at the same time as they started toward the kitchen but stopped dead in their track's as they realized who they had just said hi to. They looked at eachother confused then turned and looked at Tara, tear's filled Willow's eye's and Buffy stood there in shock with her jaw dropped "omg" she managed to say just before she passed out and hit the floor. "Omg, Buffy" screamed Willow as she knelt down next to her. "Tara go get some ice from the freezer." Tara rushed into the kitchen.

Willow looked at Kennedy "How the hell?" she asked.

"Gile's, Anya, Buffy and Tara stepped through a time portal. Their from the year 2002." Ken replied

"Oh" she said "well then where are the other's?" she asked

"Spike took them upstairs to show them where they'll be sleeping until we can figure out how to get them back to their time."

Just then Tara came back with the ice. Kennedy knelt down and picked Buffy up off the floor and brought her over to the couch and placed her gently on it then proped a pillow underneith her head. Tara handed Kennedy the ice and Ken gently placed it on Buffy's head.

"Why did she pass out like that when she saw me and why are you crying" Tara asked Willow. Kennedy turned her head and looked at Willow then she thought to herself 'Omg, is she gonna tell her, I mean how the hell is she gonna break that type of new's to her, telling a persons family and friend's something like that is an every day thing and even that's hard enough but having to break the news to the person it happened to, doesn't happen too often'

Willow stood silent unsure of weather she should tell Tara the truth or not. 'After all' she thought to herself 'it's not like it would matter anyway the spell that's used to get them back to their time would make them forget they were ever even here. So it's not like fate can be changed' And it was then when Willow came to the realization that fate couldn't be changed that she broke down into tear's. She fell to the floor crying Tara rushed over to her. Kennedy wanted to rush over to her so bad but Buffy needed Kennedy's attention more then Willow at this moment.

Not wanting Willow to have to go through the heart renching moment of telling Tara what had happened to her, Kennedy said "Tara, why don't you just bring Willow upstairs and get her into bed then come back down so I can talk to you about something." Then she looked at Willow with a look in her eye's that almost asked permission. Willow looked back at Kennedy and nodded her head almost as if to give her the okay.

A few moment's later Tara came back down stair's to find that Buffy was now awake. "Are you okay?" she asked. "Yes, I'm fine. I'm just gonna go upstairs and lay down."

After Buffy went upstairs Kennedy looked at Tara and studied her for a moment. She thought to herself 'soft blonde hair and eye's as blue as the sky, I can see why Willow love's her so much. She’s beatiful.'

"Tara, you might want to sit down." said Kennedy

"Okay." replied Tara "So what is it you want to talk to me about?" she asked

Ken looked at her and said "There's no easy way to tell you this."

Tara replied "What ever it is you can tell me." She could tell Kennedy was nervous.

"Are you sure?" Kennedy asked

"I'm sure." replied Tara.

"Alright!" Ken said "but after I tell you, your gonna wish that I haden't."

"I'll take that risk." Tara said

"Okay then here goes." Ken's stomach turned inside. She was more nervous then she had ever been in her entire life. Afriad of what Tara might think about her and Willow being together, but most of all afriad of how Tara would react when she find's out what her fate is.

Kennedy just ignored her nerve's and carried on "About a year and a half ago, give or take a few month's, or in your case add a few week's. Okay I really don't know how to say this so I'm just gonna come out and say it. You died."

Kennedy saw Tara's eye's start to tear up. She didn't want to hurt Tara more then Tara was already hurting but there was more that Tara needed to know. "Please don't cry." she said. "There's more to the story. There's more that you need to know."
"More?" Tara managed to say through the tear's.

Kennedy proceded to tell Tara everything, about how she had died, when she had died, and what Willow had done to Warren, she told her about Willow being with her now and about how they had ended up together. She even told her about the dream's Willow kept having about the day Tara died, and how Willow still loved her. After hearing everything all Tara wanted to do was hold Willow but she knew Willow was with Kennedy now and she didn't want to intrude. And Ken had noticed and she didn't want to disrespect Tara. Afterall Willow was Tara's girl long before she was her girl. And if Tara hadn't died Willow would still be with Tara and Ken wouldn't of had a chance with Willow.

"I'm sure she would like to talk to you herself, if you wanna go upstairs." Ken finally said

"Okay." Tara replied then she headed up the Stair's toward's Willow's bedroom. Kennedy stayed downstairs decideing that Willow and Tara should be alone. Beside's if they did do anything Ken would understand. She wouldn't be thrilled about it but she would understand. Afterall it's not often that a person get's the chance to spend one more night with their dead girlfriend.

When Tara walked into the room Willow was on the bed still crying. Tara didn't say anything at first. She just climbed in the bed with Willow and held her in her arm's. Willow rolled over to face Tara and she placed her head on Tara's shoulder. "Don't cry baby, everything's gonna be okay, you'll be okay and no matter what I'll alway's be with you. Even in death I'll still be by your side." she said in a soft soothing voice. "I don't want you to be sad Willow. You need to let go of the past and move on with your life. You've got Kennedy now and if she make's you happy then stay with her. You have to be strong Willow, Stong like an amazon remember?"

"I remember baby." Willow managed to say through the tear's. "I'm trying to be stong” she carried on now looking into Tara’s eye’s “but it’s hard Tara.”

"I know it's hard" Tara replied. "but I'm not coming back, I can't come back."

"but, Tara I don't want to let go. I don't want to stop loving you." Willow said

"No one's asking you to stop loving me. I don't want that either. I just want you to be happy again. I don't want you to spend the rest of your life having nightmare's and wishing you could change what's happened."

Willow looked at Tara and said "Baby forgive me."

"For what?" Tara asked

"There's something you should know about that day." Willow said

"If it's about Warren, I already know." replied Tara "You don't have to worry. I'm not mad. I understand why you did it. It doesn't make it right but I understand. I already forgive you."

Then she kissed Willow on the forehead and said "get some sleep baby."

The next mourning Willow woke up to find herself back in Kennedy's arm's. 'Was it just a dream' she thought to herself. She turned to look at Ken. Kennedy saw the confusion in her eye's and said "It wasn't a dream baby. Everything's gonna be alright now. Gile's and Anya from are time sent them back this mourning. Tara wanted me to make sure you got this note." she handed Willow a peice of paper. Willow opened it and it read "Strong like an amazon."

Thank you, I'm not really one for writing stories but I'm a huge BtVS fan and I've been reading alot of BtVS fanfiction online lately so I figured I'd write my own fanfic story. Well thank you for taking the time to read it.
